ROBOTS, FOR SOLAR PANELS.

DUST SETTLES. WE DON'T.

GaussClean PR-1 is an autonomous robot that spots soiling with AI and lifts it off with a 5-stage, dry-first head — using 50ml of water per panel and no power-hungry vacuum. Built for Rajasthan's dust. Priced for India's O&M.

§ THE PROBLEM

DIRTY PANELS
BURN MONEY.

In Rajasthan, soiling can cut generation by up to 30%. Manual cleaning drinks thousands of litres of water per MW and puts workers on hot panels at dawn. The desert doesn't care. Neither does the dust.

§ THE ROBOT

ONE ROBOT.
EVERY ROW.

PR-1 rides the panel rows on its own. It looks, decides, cleans, and tells you what it did. No diesel bowser. No squeegee crew.

YOLO V8
1

DETECT

Onboard AI scores soiling per panel in real time. Clean panels get skipped — no wasted passes.

NAV2
2

NAVIGATE

Autonomous row traversal with encoder odometry. Edge detection keeps it on the array.

5-STAGE
3

CLEAN

Dry-first: a brush lifts loose dust into a sealed path, a whisper of water clears the bonded layer, a dry buff finishes streak-free.

Telemetry, before/after soiling scores, and water used — streamed to your dashboard.

§ THE CLEANING PASS

FIVE STAGES.
ONE SWEEP.

Desert dust is silica — harder than the panel's coating. So PR-1 lifts it, never drags it. A dry brush sweeps loose grit into a sealed, gravity-fed bin before a single drop of water touches the glass. Watch one pass:

PR-1 · CLEANING HEAD · CROSS-SECTION ● DRY-FIRST
DUST IN · CLEAN OUT
01 · Sweep
Dry helical brush flicks loose dust up into a sealed shroud → hopper. No water, no vacuum.
02 · Damp
Microfiber with ~50 ml metered water dissolves the bonded residue dry brushing can't.
03 · Wipe
A soft squeegee lip clears the water line so nothing dries into spots.
04 · Collect
A helical roller walks the slurry to one low corner — captured, never dropped on panels below.
05 · Buff
A dry microfiber buff leaves the glass evaporative-dry and streak-free.
LIFT, DON'T DRAG · SILICA-SAFE ~50–80W TOTAL · 50ML WATER · 95–98% SOIL REMOVED
§ WHAT IT DOES

FEATURES, IN
PLAIN ENGLISH.

01 /

SEES THE DIRT

YOLO v8 on Jetson Orin scores every panel before touching it. Cleans what's dirty, skips what's not.

02 /

LIFTS, NEVER DRAGS

Dry-first sweeping pulls hard silica grit off before water touches the glass — so the coating never gets sanded.

03 /

NO VACUUM, LOW WATT

A sealed mechanical broom replaces the blower. ~50–80W instead of ~300W — smaller battery, longer runs, near silence.

04 /

SIPS WATER

Just 50ml per panel. A 1 MW block cleaned on less water than one household uses in a day.

05 /

SURVIVES RAJASTHAN

IP65 sealed. Dust storms, 45°C summers, panel-top vibration — engineered for it, not despite it.

06 /

PHONES HOME

4G connected. Live telemetry over MQTT, fleet view on a clean dashboard, alerts when something's off.

§ THE FINE PRINT

NOT A WATER
GUZZLER.

Solar farms sit in deserts. Cleaning them shouldn't drain them — or scratch them.

01

WATER

50ml per panel, metered and logged. Every litre accounted for.

02

PANEL SAFETY

Dry-first lift means hard grit leaves before water and microfiber touch the glass. No sanding, no micro-scratches.

03

DATA

Your telemetry is yours. Encrypted in transit, exportable anytime.

04

CONTROL

Remote stop. Geofenced operation. Full session logs, every run.

§ FAQ

QUESTIONS,
ANSWERED.

Will it scratch my panels? +
No — and that's the whole point of going dry-first. Desert dust is silica, harder than the anti-reflective coating, so wiping it wet would drag grit across the glass. PR-1 sweeps the loose dust off first, then uses soft microfiber and a metered mist only on what's left. Lift, don't drag.
Is it wet cleaning or dry cleaning? +
Both, in the right order. The first stage is fully dry — a brush lifts loose dust into a sealed bin with no water at all. Only the bonded layer that dry brushing can't shift gets ~50ml of water, then a dry buff finishes. You get dry-cleaning's water savings with wet-cleaning's spotless finish.
How does it capture dust without a vacuum? +
The brush works like a sealed street-sweeper, not a vacuum. Its housing is closed against the glass, so dust the brush lifts is carried inside the shroud to a low corner and drops by gravity into a sealed hopper. No blower means power falls from roughly 300W to 50–80W — smaller battery, longer runtime, near-silent operation.
How does it move between rows? +
PR-1 traverses along a panel row autonomously. Row-to-row transfer is operator-assisted in the current version — one technician can manage an entire block. Fully autonomous transfer is on the roadmap.
What if it rains? Or a dust storm hits? +
The robot is IP65 sealed and parks itself on weather alerts from the cloud. Sessions resume automatically. Rajasthan weather is the design spec, not an edge case.
When can I get a pilot? +
We're onboarding pilot sites in Rajasthan now, prioritising O&M companies managing 10 MW or more. Email dewang@gaussclean.com — pilots are free to discuss, and early sites lock in launch pricing.
